What kind of dog(s) are you looking for?: I am a very married Christian woman of of 22 years. We have no children but our furkids and they keep our life very full. I am a dog cookie baker. I also belong to an unofficial network of over a thousand rescue people. It is a group I love to belong to, full of heartache and joy all rolled into one. I am a SAHM/WAHM to Lucy. :)

My days are filled with home care, taking care of family, of course baking and praying. I am on several networks, plus have a blogspot that I should write on more often.

Mom has taught me how to quilt. I love it. What a stress reliever! We will have them for raffle and auction for the rescue as well as I'm making them for soldiers.

Brag about your dog (s): Lucy is my 7 year old lab. She got epilepsy at age 3 but hasn't had a seizure since April of 07. That is when I switched her dog food from the colored kibble to human grade, to now, I'm cooking her food and of course, she is eating nothing but my homemade, nutritious cookies. Okay, this is not a true statement anymore. She's had 2 seizures, not bad but always after messing with her food. She is back on kibble, Solid Gold, my homemade cookies and she is doing well. Actually, the vet did a blood level and said her levels were too high and took her down off some of her meds which made her have a seizure. No, I was not happy. We will NOT do that again. She is good where she is. She is a happy girl!

My answer to: I need to place my dog.

I got an application for membership from a lady who wanted to join us so she could find someone to adopt her dog so her and her husband could start traveling now that they were retired. I was livid! Here was my response:

We are a rescue site, not an adoption site. We help rescue dogs from immediate and often deadly situations. Many of our dogs are injured from abuse, neglect or both. I don't mean to burst your bubble, but we simply do not help people get rid of their pets because they have no… Continue
